Do not let CSAT ruin in your entire year!!!

CSAT paper is called as Paper 2 of Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam. So, the aspirants have to understand this fact and equal weightage has to be given to this paper in comparison with Paper 1 (GS Paper). Since it is made qualifying, the aspirants tend to gamble with this paper. They reach to a dilemma whether to dedicate more number of hours for this paper or not. In that situation the aspirants have to balance their approach and plan equitably to this paper.

Since the questions are of X standard level, an average student has to give an hour a day to learn or brush up the concepts of Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Logical Reasoning (LR) and Data Interpretation (DI). Instead, they depend upon Reading Comprehension (RC) for scoring 66 that to without practice. The aspirants who solely depend upon comprehension cannot reach the qualifying marks without solving at least 20 questions from QA and LR because the maximum hit rate in RC is 70% and that would take them only to 45 marks at the best.

And the UPSC is making the life of the aspirants more critical by giving more ambiguous options in RC and more time consuming questions in QA and LR. Without practice of these even a topper of previous year or CSAT teacher cannot get to the magic number of 66. It requires strategy to be implemented along with the practice.
